DIRECTIONS: the links above or at bottom can help you generate maps and directions to our home pool. You may also use the following verbal directions (all routes subject to temporary or long-term closure during winter months - check ahead!):
(A). FROM NORTH OF MINDEN (Carson City, Reno, Sparks, Fernley, Fallon, Incline Village, Truckee, etc.): take U.S. Highway 50 or Interstate 80 to U.S. Highway 395 southbound. About 10 miles south of Carson City, approaching the first traffic signal at the north end of Minden (junction of 395 with Nevada Highway 88, Dairy Queen and Starbucks on the right), exit to the right (south) onto Highway 88. Skip to (F) below.
(B). FROM SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, CA, and points southwest (Echo Pass, Placerville, Sacramento, etc.): take U.S. Highway 50 to its junction with Nevada Highway 207 (Kingsbury Grade) at Stateline, Nevada (just north of the big casinos at the state line). Turn east on Kingsbury Grade, and take Highway 207 all the way over the mountains to their base, then continue straight east on Highway 207, part way across Carson Valley, to the traffic signal at the junction with Nevada Highway 88. Turn left (north) onto Highway 88. Skip to (D) below.
(C). FROM NV HIGHWAY 88 and points south (Woodfords CA, Markleeville CA, Carson Pass, Ebbetts Pass, Jackson CA, etc.): Proceed north on California Highway 88 from Woodfords. This becomes Nevada Highway 88 where it crosses the Nevada state line. In another 6 or 7 miles, you will pass the traffic signal at the junction with Nevada Highway 207 (Kingsbury Grade). Continue north on Highway 88 into Minden. Continue to (D) below.
(D). Continuing north on Nevada Highway 88 from the junction with Nevada Highway 207 (Kingsbury Grade), proceed about 1.5 miles to the traffic circle at Mahongany Drive/County Road in Minden. The Swim Center is the large building on the left (west). You will see the water slides on one corner of the building. Proceed around 3/4 of the traffic circle to turn left (west) onto Mahogany Drive. Skip to (G) below.
(E). FROM SOUTHEAST OF MINDEN (Bishop, Mammoth Lakes, Tioga Pass, Bridgeport, Sonora Pass, Topaz Lake, Gardnerville, etc.): Take U.S. Highway 395 northwest into Nevada and all the way through downtown Gardnerville, then downtown Minden. At the last traffic signal at the north end of Minden (junction of 395 with Nevada Highway 88), turn left (south) onto Highway 88. Continue to (F) below.
(F). Continuing south on Nevada Highway 88 from U.S. 395, the first long block on the right (west) is Douglas High School and its parking lot (where you may also park). To bypass the High School parking lot, merge into the left lane of traffic. The Swim Center is the next big building immediately south of the High School parking lot, on the southwest corner of Highway 88 and Mahogany Drive. You will see the water slides on one corner of the building. Proceed around 1/4 of the traffic circle to turn right (west) onto Mahogany Drive. Continue to (G).
(G). Proceeding west on Mahogany Drive from the traffic circle, the first driveway to the left (south) enters the Swim Center parking lot, where swimmers may be dropped off. Past this, the first driveway to the right (north) enters the High School parking lot, which must be used if the Swim Center parking lot is full (park only in designated spaces!) Limited parking is also possible along the sides of Mahogany Drive.
